“I demonstrated to myself that I could play early in the season, and I think I’m able. Hopefully next season I will enjoy more minutes on the pitch.

“For me, the season at Chelsea has been spectacular, especially the achievement of winning the Champions League. It’s something I always dreamed of as a child.”

Dembele to Chelsea?

Chelsea are interested in signing a second Belgium international this summer with Fulham’s Moussa Dembele top of their shopping list.

After signing Lille sensation Eden Hazard for £32million earlier this week, the Blues have now turned their attentions to his international team-mate.

Dembele is set to enter the last year of his contract at Fulham, and has rejected the offer by manager Martin Jol to extend his stay at Craven Cottage.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are all monitoring the situation, but according to The Sun, Chelsea are hopeful of securing his signature.

Fulham are desperate to keep hold of £10million-rated Dembele with the prospect of losing stars Clint Dempsey and Andy Johnson a real possibility during the close-season.

Branislav Ivanovic ‘too expensive’ for Real Madrid transfer

Jose Mourinho wanted to land the Serbian to fill the right-back slot, but Blues officials signalled they don’t agree ti sell.

With the 28-year-old under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2016, it would have taken an offer close to £23 million to force the deal happen.

Real Madrid have stopped trying to secure Ivanovic’s services as it will be both complicated and expensive, so have decided to look at other options.

Reports in Italy have suggested Napoli are also keen on the former Lokomotiv Moscow star, but they are unlikely to go for it due to  Chelsea’s valuation.

Was Torres’s season so bad?

Image

Lot’s of stuff have been said about Fernando Torres this season, he is finished, he isn’t good anymore, he should retire, he isn’t the players he used to be, and lot’s of other things. And that’s right, he isn’t the player he used to be. He changed. He understood he can’t play the same way he did because of technical problems since his injury, so he adapted a new style of play! Which I think is brilliant! When a player understands he isn’t the same player and can change completely – he has something many other players should have!

Torres became from a player that scores goals and gets all the glory to a player who does lot’s of hard work that not many people notice. He had 12 assists this year which is a lot for a striker, but nobody noticed him. Too bad. He also scored 12 goals which of course isn’t enough, but for one of the worst seasons in his career, scoring 12 goals and making 12 assists isn’t too bad!

So that’s all I wanted to say, hope you enjoyed reading! Goodbye!

Are Chelsea Hungry for Another big – name striker?

First of all thanks a lot to unano123 who wrote this article as a guest writer for as! thanks mate!

Recently, Chelsea’s striker Didier Drogba announced he won’t renew his contract in Chelsea after this season (2011\2012).  After winning with Chelsea the Champion’s League the sad moment came and Drogba left Chelsea.  He had it all, strength, size, shots and speed.  It’s a real pity he left Chelsea.  But we are not here to talk about Drogba, we are here to answer the question, do Chelsea need a new striker or is Chelsea’s current arsenal enough?  Well, I’m here to answer that question.

Well, let’s look at  Chelsea’s current situation.  Sturridge, Torres and Lukaku.  Torres and Sturridge provide the dribbling, the agility and the support, but they are no Drogba.  If you ask me, Lukaku is the perfect replacement to the fresh hole in Chelsea’s squad.

Lukaku was born in Antwerp Belgium.  He played in Aderlecht’s adult team and demonstrated his skill again and again and again.  In 2011 Chelsea bought the young star and paid and amazing sum of 18 million Pounds!! So much money and he had only 12 appearances in Chelsea.

Lukaku is only 19 years old but he is a star and probably will grow to be an even bigger star.  Being 1.91 meters he is a perfect replacement instead of Drogba.  Lukaku is known for his spins and shots, tricks and agility.

If you ask me, the combination of Torres’s dribbling and Lukaku’s skills, Chelsea will have one of the best strikers combinations in the world.  And believe me, if Chelsea doesn’t use him, you can say that 18 million went down the drain.

So, did I answer the question? Yes I did.  Chelsea’s current arsenal is definitely enough.  Do Chelsea need to buy a new striker? No!!! Excellent Lukaku Romelu has what it needs, he is young, strong, fast and has the most amazing shots, he is Drogba’s heir chosen by destiny. When Chelsea will realize the asset it has Lukaku will be in the opening squad in no time.

Lampard out for England campaign

Image

England midfielder Frank Lampard injured his thigh in training on Wednesday, dealing another potential setback to Roy Hodgson’s plans less than two weeks before the start of the European Championship. Lamps will have to miss his possibly last big – tournament for England at his long career.

England Manager Roy Hodgson said: “It’s a huge blow for the team, especially coming after the loss of another senior player in Gareth Barry. The fact that the doctor cannot guarantee Frank could take part in any of the group matches means we have to replace him in the central midfield area.

let’s hope he will get better as soon as possible.

Lukaku looking away from The blues

“When [Salomon] Kalou put the cup on my lap in the bus I asked him to take it away immediately. I didn’t want to touch it because just as with the Champions League I had no part in it at all,” he told the newspaper on Thursday. “I don’t like people talking to me about the Champions League. It wasn’t me, but my team that won the trophy.”

That’s what Romelu Lukaku said today, and I agree. Chelsea bought him for 18 million (!) and played him only 12 times last season, so I can see why he is upset. he is a fantastic player, he is young and strong, very tall, amazingly  fast and agile, and has very strong shoots. I don’t see why Chelsea spent so much money on him if they don’t even play him! if Chelsea won’t understand how good he is and play him more he will leave very soon, and somebody else will get the treasure. so please play him more!

Di Matteo – The man to do the job?

The story of the Italian:

Image

Roberto Di Matteo Chelsea legend has signed a deal with Chelsea in mid-February and has since then taken two trophies at the Chelsea team. Here is all what happened there at the last 4 month.

He has come when Chelsea weren’t in a very good situation; they were kind of crashed at the time… AVB the old manager has led the blues to a bad position, he hasn’t done well connecting to the veteran Chelsea players, he was young and not experienced enough for these levels of the best football in the planet. The day came and he was sacked. Abramovich needed a new manager to take place but no big managers were free for taking, so he decided to let assistant coach Roberto Di Matteo to take place as the caretaker manager at Chelsea – then it all begun.

At first when he came Chelsea didn’t play any better than before, but then di Matteo found the key for Chelsea success – being a player’s manager. He became connected with the veteran players, he started talking a lot more than AVB did to the players, and he gave them a feeling of confidence. Since that moment Chelsea changed, right – they still weren’t playing the best football possible, but they seemed to play for the manager.

Image

At the end of the season Chelsea were able to lift two very big trophies, the FA Cup and the Champions league Cup. di Matteo was the first ever manager for Chelsea to bring Champions league success, even though he came at mid-February he managed to completely change the Chelsea season, from being one of the worst ever seasons to one of the best ever! So he’s done a brilliant job, that’s for sure. But is it only something that happens once? Should he continue at the blues? Or are they better managers on the long term for Chelsea?

Well it’s very hard to know, because he did a great job at Chelsea, but it’s hard to tell if he will be good at the long – term. Right now Abramovich isn’t involving di Matteo in anything that is happening at Chelsea according to reports, but the reason I’m not sure if he will be good for the long – term is because as I said he is a player’s manager; and maybe that isn’t the best thing for someone who needs to do a whole change at the squad… he is a young manager and not too experienced, so it’s very hard to tell if he will succeed at Chelsea over the long – term.

So I am not sure whether or not he should keep on managing the blues or if we should spend money and bring a more experienced manager to do a very big change at the squad… all we can do now is wait and see.

goodbye!

Why I play Football Manager

Why I play Football Manager. – the BEST game ever!

Some of the latest Chelsea news

Hello!

Today I am going to give you the latest Chelsea news of the last few days. let’s start!

Eden Hazard –

The Lille playmaker has been stringing football fans along for a matter of weeks but it appears his latest tweet confirms he will be joining Chelsea, who are after all the ‘Champions League winner’ that the 21 year old is referring too. Eden is a great player for Chelsea, he has lots of flair and very nice football in him. lots of people are calling him to be the next Ronaldo (not the fat one ;)). let’s hope he will fit in well at the veteran Chelsea dressing room! cuz he is a very good player.

Here is the tweet that claimed the move to Chelsea is done:

Hulk –

After Drogba’s contract has not been renewed Chelsea badly need another strong and powerful center forward, The Blues have long been linked with the Brazilian forward and now reports in Portugal have claimed a deal has been agreed between the two clubs ahead of the transfer window opening. although no one knows who’s giong to the permanent Chelsea manager, Abramovich is still singing big – names for the blues squad for next season.

Hulk has notched up a total of 76 goals in 155 appearances for Porto and having won three domestic titles, a Europa League and a Super Cup winners medal to boot perhaps the goal machine feels a move away from Porto is long overdue and such a move to the Premier League would no doubt aid his chances of adding to the nine international caps he has amassed to date.

Branislav Ivanovic –

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic  is being tracked by Real Madrid manager Jose Mouriniho . The Portuguese manager is hopeful that he can complete a deal for the Serbian international this summer as Los Blancos prepare for a busy summer of transfer deals. here is what he had to say about it:

‘I know what has been written about my future and that Madrid are following me, but now is not the time to talk about this,” the 28-year-old told Marca.

‘I am focused on the national team now and I am very happy at Chelsea.

‘I won the Champions League just one week ago and to think about changing clubs now is complicated. I am very happy in London.’

Petr Cech –

last thing for today is Cech, he has signed another four years deal for the club! congrats!

So that’s all for now. hope you enjoyed reading! goodbye!
